No. 2081, Page 7; Book 24; S. 1968, Witness FM Cabinet, no Place for Bicolanos? The President has started shaking-up his Cabinet. More qualified men I suppose, will soon be placed in the limelight when their names are called for inclusion in the official family of the President. I don’t like be believe that Bicolandia doesn’t have even a single name to attract Presidential attention this time. ★ ★ ★ The recent designation of Dr. Amadeo Cruz as full-pledge Secretary of Health has of course closed all avenues for Albay Governor Jose Estevez who was earlier mentioned for the Health portfolio immediately after the death of then Sec. Paulino Garcia. Nevertheless, Albay and Camarines Sur still have former Undersecretary Jose Crisol and Rep. Felix Fuentebella whose eligibilities and capabilities to assume the Defense and Public Works jobs respectively could hardly be questioned. But then, under our system it’s always the President who must have the last say. it AThe publication of a report saying that "FM to suspend Cam. Sur Governor”, has inevitably placed the credibility of certain newsmen and d local weekly at stake. Somehow, most people are already aware of the fact that there must be a complaint and a complainant, and an investigation (nonetheless), before the probability of a suspension order could be ever imagined or presumed. To say otherwise, is to place the "horse before the caretela”* * Retired Minister Pete Ampoloquio observes that the handsome Mayor of Parubcan is the only “Israelite” who looks more like an Arab. He even wonders whether Parubcan could be considered "the land of promise” as referred to in the Holy Scripture. For, one thing, I have it on good authority that it was, a certain portion of Lagonoy Gulf, and not the Red Sea, that once upon a time, opened a dry passage for Moses (not Habana of course) and his group only to close afterwards to drown the pursuing Egyptians. It may interest the Monkey Businessman to know that the exact course taken by the Prophet from coast to coast was: "from point 'X’, known as the island of Atolayan, now near the town of Sangay following a straight line 10 degress East Northeast to point 'Y’, now known as the island of Aguirangan near the barrio of Maafiagas, then following another straight line 90 degrees East to point ’Z’, known as the village of Parubcan”. It wus in that village where Moses left the "Israelites” to settle, multiply, and to establish electoral precinct No. 4 (which was not to be know until the 1965 elections); while he ascends Mt. Putianay, known then as "Senai’ to received the immortal Ten Commandments Reference: Flyleaf "A”, Old Testament. ★ ★ Alc:co buses charge Pl.25 per passenger from Naga to Sipocot via Balongay. The fare includes the cost of Ferryboat fee of course, which is P8 per Bus. Another route without par ing the Ferryboat (Danao) costs the same per passe..ger, Pl.25.
