The recovered value was P18.77 per ton and the percentage of extraction for the month was 88.30 o/o. Development A total of 1,297 feet was advanced during the month, 737.5 feet being in capital development and 559.5 feet in operating development. Of the capital PALIDAN-SUYOC DEEP LEVEL TUNNEL COMPANY During March the face was advanced 153 feet, making it 383 feet from the portal. The present face is on bearing to Suyoc Consolidated Mining Company's No. 1 Shaft. The 1000-cubic foot Pennsylvania compressor has been installed and is operating continuously and satisfactorily. After minor changes in design, the .Jumbo drill carriage is functioning very efficiently. The Ruhrthaler Diesel locomotive, which was received during the month, was assembled and tried out. Several slight changes are being made but it is expected that the locomotive should be operating with the 45-cubic foot cars by April 15. During the month work was done on the Hospital extension and on the installation of tunnel pipe lines, also on the installation of a steel shop. development, 85 feet, or 11.5%, were in ore, while 134.5 feet, or 24 % of the operating development was in ore. The 2000 level pump station is now being cut. Work was started on the Hospital extension and on the power house switchboard extension, both of which were partially finished by the end of March.
