The percentage of extraction for the month was 94. 7 ;'(), and the recovered value was P41.23 per ton. The old San Mauricio shaft was sunk 23 feet in granite gneiss and was 500 feet deep by the end of March. Development The total March development was 875 feet, of which 230 feet were advanced in operating development and 645 feet in capital development. Of the total development, 462 feet, or 52.8 % , were in ore. The new main shaft of the San Mauricio Mine was sunk 38 feet in granite gneiss and was 289 feet deep March 31. The Santa Monica shaft was sunk 23 feet in granite gneiss and was 166 feet deep at the end of the month. Construction The equipment for the enlargement of the mill has all been installed, except the Wilfley tables and the Weinig flotation cells. The foundation for the new 1,000-cubic-foot Pennsylvania compressor was completed during the month. Staff House No. 10 is under construction and should be completed by the end of April. D.
