20 THE MARSMAN MAGAZINE [MAY, 1937 Paracale Country Club Sports Weekend Manila members of the Paracale Country Club were the guests of the Paracale group at a sports weekend, May 15, 1937. About thirty-five representatives of contributing firms made the trip to Paracale, most by Patco planes. Baseball, golf and badminton contests were held between the visitors and the Paracale members. The Invaders were successful in baseball and golf and held the Paraoole badminton stars to tie. Because of rainy weather the tennis courts were not completed in time for weekend festivities. The Paracale Country Club was started here a few months ago with Marsman and Company, the United Paracale Mining Company, and the San Mauricio Mining Company as proprietary members.
