La poderosa maquinaria de guerra norteamericana, que por unos días pareció parali zarse en los vastos arrozales de la Corea del Sur, donde es, por supuesto, mucho más du cho el coreano, ha reaccionado y al tiempo en que entramos en prensa tanques aviones y buques de guerra estadouni denses, verdaderos mónstruos de tierra, aire y mar, y un torrente al parecer intermina ble de tropas equipadas al “úL timo grito de la ciencia” ccmienzan a darbuena cuenta de su presencia en Corea. Los invasores comunistas tuvieron su mayor triunfo re ciente en la conquista de Chcnan y el diezmo de un bata llón norteamericano atrapado al sur de dicha fortaleza. Pero entrando en acción más tarde 150 aviones americanos, 36 de los tanques comdnista, juntamente con una cantidad enorme de material de guerra misceláneo fué destruido. El resultado de esta acción de los aviones norteaméricanos es a todas luces patente: el paro del fantástico avance de los rojos y la toma de impulso por parte de los americanos, para un contrataque probablemen te no se detenga hasta la linea del paralelo 38 quizás más allá.... Dos informes de interés se han recibido: Los americanos, además de su bandera, luci rán en esta campaña coreana la enseña de las Naciones Uni das; y Rusia, según pronósti cos, ya no volverá a compare cer en ninguna reunión d<l consejo de seguridad de la ONU donde 40 países la han repudiado indirectamente per la bárbara invasión de la Oc rea del Sur por los coreanos del norte inspirados por el Kremlin.
