Abstract: [This article discusses the implementation of the Senate Bill No. 773 also known as the Philippine Medicare Plan during the Marcos administration. This bill intended to provide medical assistance to all Filipinos who are not members of the SSS or GSIS. Despite of the combined efforts of the government and private sectors offered at that time, the government proposed this bill to solve the problems on health care assistance in the country, especially in rural areas. ]
