MARSMAN BUILDING CORPORATION ACTIVE ON TWO LARGE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS This company, foirmed in 1936, is controlled and financed by Marsman & Company. The corporation at present is erecting two large buildings, the office and residence of the American High Commissioner, and the new Marsman building. The contract for the construction of the American High Commissioner's home in Manila, was awarded to the Marsman Building Corporation in June, 1938. The location of the building is on reclaimed ground, off Dewey Boulevard facing Manila Bay. Using the Vibro Pile, for which Marsman Building is exclusive representative, some 600 of these piles have been driven to a depth of 65 feet. The tctal cost of this edifice will be about PS00,000.00. Present plans call for completion of the project in February, 1940. Work is well underway on the construction of the new Marsman building, to be used by the Marsman interests, and other firms. Facing Manila Bay, the structure will occupy a space of 1, 700 square meters. The cost is approximately P500,000.00. As a result of the choice location, Geveral firms have taken leases for office space. One of the most modern and efficiently planned, it will be ready for occupancy about October 1, 1939. The Building company is also engaged in general contracting and civil engineering work.
